Farm & Equestrian Barns Built Around the Animals

Triton's farm and equestrian buildings are designed by a team that has watched a lot of working barns operate — and the bad ones fail. Wide aisles, ventilation that actually moves air, stall configurations that match the animal, and engineered steel that takes a kick or a snowstorm without flinching. Whether you're storing equipment, sheltering livestock, or training horses, we'll build the right barn the first time.

One brand, every barn type you need

Most farms have more than one building need. The same Triton design team can plan your livestock barn, your equipment storage shed, and your covered riding arena as one coordinated set — same color palette, same roof line, same erector — instead of three different vendors and three different bills.

  • Equipment Storagedrive-through bays sized for combines, balers, and trailers
  • Livestock Barnsconfigurable stalls, run-in alcoves, and feed alleys
  • Horse Barns12' × 12' stalls, tack rooms, wash bays, ventilation that breathes
  • Riding Arenas70'+ clear-span widths with eave heights to clear a riding helmet on a tall horse

Engineering choices that matter on a farm

Salt air, manure ammonia, and constant moisture are tough on building materials. We spec galvanized framing and 26-gauge Galvalume® panels because they hold up to barn conditions better than painted-only steel.

Open ridge vents, gable louvers, and properly sized soffit intakes are designed in from the start — not bolted on later — so air moves the way it needs to for animal health and grain storage.

Permitting and zoning

Agricultural buildings often qualify for simplified permit paths or full ag exemptions in many counties. We provide the engineered drawings most jurisdictions require and can connect you with local permitting consultants who know the difference between an ag-exempt structure and a habitable barn.

FAQs

Common Questions About Farm & Equestrian Barns

Can the barn be insulated for cold-climate livestock?

Yes — closed-cell spray foam against the underside of the roof is the gold standard for barns. It controls condensation that drips on animals below.

What's the largest clear-span you can engineer?

We routinely build to 80' clear span for arenas. Larger spans are possible with truss packages.

Can I add a hay loft?

Yes — order the heavier column package and the appropriate beam tie-in for live load up front.

Do you build round-pen covers or stand-alone shed rows?

Yes — both are common Triton products. Round-pen covers usually run 60'–70' diameter; shed rows are sized to stall count.

Can I phase the build (barn first, arena later)?

Yes — design both at the same time so the layout, drainage, and door alignment work together, then build them in two contracts.
