How do I get started with Triton?

Two easy paths: use our 3D Designer to build your exact spec online, or call 888-800-7686 and a Triton specialist will walk you through size, style, colors, and add-ons. Either way you'll leave with a written, no-obligation quote.

How quickly can I have a building delivered?

Standard buildings ship and install in about 2 to 3 weeks from order confirmation. Lead times vary by season, region, and customization — your sales rep will give you a firm window before you put down a deposit.

What does a Triton building typically cost?

Pricing depends on size, roof style, gauge, color, certification, and add-ons (doors, windows, insulation, lean-tos). Carports start in the low thousands; large garages, barns, and commercial buildings scale from there. We never publish gimmick prices — every quote is real, line-itemed, and free.

Can I customize everything?

Yes. Length, width, height, roof style, gauge, color combinations, doors, windows, wainscot, lean-tos, insulation, and certification are all configurable. If we offer it, you can mix it.

Do I need to be there during installation?

We recommend being on site at the start of installation to confirm placement and orientation, but you don't have to stay for the full build. Most installs are completed in a single day on a prepared pad.

How much do I need to pay up front?

Triton requires a 20% deposit on standard buildings, with the remaining balance due at installation. Commercial and fully custom buildings require a 50% deposit, with the balance due upon installation.

What financing options are available?

We offer traditional financing through HFS — fixed-APR loans up to $300,000, terms up to 20 years, and rates as low as 7.99% APR with no-credit-impact pre-qualification. We also offer rent-to-own through both RTO National and EZ Pay, with approval available up to $30,000 and no hard credit check. Most customers get a decision quickly.

Can I rent-to-own a Triton building?

Yes. Our rent-to-own programs through RTO National and EZ Pay have no hard credit check, low monthly payments, and an early-buyout option that lets you save on the total price by paying off early. Approval is available up to $30,000.

Are quotes really free?

Yes. Quotes are 100% free, with no obligation. Use our 3D Designer or call our team and we'll spec the exact building, colors, and add-ons you want, then send a written quote you can take your time with.

Do I need a building permit?

Permit requirements vary by county and use. Before construction or any major renovation, check with your local building department. If a permit is required, secure it before installation begins so your build stays on schedule.

Do you pull building permits?

Triton does not pull permits on your behalf, but we make it easy. We provide all the documentation your county will ask for so you can submit and get approved quickly.

Do you supply engineer drawings?

Yes. Triton provides generic engineer drawings for every project. If your county requires site-specific stamped drawings, those can be provided upon request for an additional fee.

Are your buildings certified?

Yes. All Triton commercial buildings are held to a higher certification standard than state code requires, and certified buildings can be ordered for any project to meet local wind, snow, and seismic loads.

Do I need a concrete pad?

Not always. Triton certified buildings can be installed on concrete, asphalt, gravel, or graded soil — anything except wood. A concrete slab gives you the most strength and longevity, and is highly recommended for commercial structures.

Which foundation works best?

Concrete is the gold standard for durability, drainage, and anchor strength. Gravel is the most affordable level base. Asphalt and graded soil also work for most residential garages, carports, and barns.

Do you provide site work?

No. Site work — clearing, grading, drainage, and pad pours — is the customer's responsibility and must be completed before our crew arrives. We're happy to share specs so your contractor pours to our footprint.

Do you provide site check inspections?

On commercial and custom builds, yes. A qualified Triton inspector visits your site before installation is scheduled to confirm conditions are suitable and reduce the risk of unexpected delays during the build.

How long does installation take?

Most standard Triton buildings are erected in just 2 to 3 weeks from order. Complex commercial and custom projects can take longer depending on engineering, permits, and site conditions — your sales rep will give you a clear timeline up front.

Are delivery and installation included?

Yes. For most standard buildings, free delivery and installation are included in your quoted price within our service area. There are no surprise crane, fuel, or labor add-ons.

Do I need any equipment on site?

No. Triton's turnkey installs include every tool and piece of equipment our crew needs. You don't have to rent lifts, supply power, or arrange anything — just have the pad ready and we handle the rest.

Do you install in my state?

Triton proudly serves customers across our 34-state service area. Call us with your zip code and we'll confirm coverage, lead times, and any regional pricing that applies.

Which roof style should I choose?

Regular roofs are the most budget-friendly and great for mild climates. A-frame (boxed eave) suits most regions. Vertical roofs run panels from peak to eave and are best for heavy snow, high rainfall, or longer buildings — they're our top recommendation for anything 31 ft or longer.

What height do I need for an RV?

Most RVs need at least 12–14 ft of vertical clearance. Always measure your rig at its tallest point — including AC units and antennas — before ordering, then add 1–2 ft for door clearance and ventilation.

Can I insulate my garage for year-round use?

Absolutely. Insulation cuts moisture, lowers summer interior temperatures, and makes a heated shop affordable in winter. We offer single bubble (R-6), double bubble (R-9), reflective foil (R-16), and fiberglass packages — see our insulation page for the full breakdown.

What colors are available?

Triton offers 14 standard colors with 10–40 year finish warranties and 5 premium colors with a full 40-year warranty. You can mix and match roof, walls, and trim to match your home or property — see our color options page for swatches.

Which barn style is best for horses?

Raised-center-aisle barns (also called Carolina barns) are the most popular for horses. The raised middle section provides excellent airflow, natural light, and clean separation between stalls, tack rooms, and storage.

How tall should my metal barn be?

12–14 ft works for standard horse barns and most agricultural use. Riding arenas, hay storage with elevators, and barns that need to fit large equipment may need 16 ft or more — tell us what you'll store and we'll spec it correctly.

Will my building hold up in heavy snow or strong winds?

Yes. Triton certified buildings are engineered to your local snow and wind loads, and our vertical-roof design sheds snow and rain efficiently. Tell us your zip code and we'll certify the build to your county's exact requirements.

What does the warranty cover?

Every Triton building includes a 40-Year Panel Warranty (covering G90 panel substrate against rust-through and factory paint finish performance under normal conditions), a 20-Year Frame Rust-Through Warranty on the heavy-gauge American steel framing, and a Limited Lifetime Engineering Certification Warranty backing the engineer-stamped drawings on every certified building. See our warranties page for the full terms, exclusions, and how to file a claim.

Will my paint color fade?

All exterior paint changes slowly with sun and weather. Triton's high-performance paint system is engineered to resist chalking, fading, and peeling for the duration of your finish warranty. Premium colors hold their saturation noticeably longer in high-UV regions.

How long will a Triton metal building last?

With proper site prep and minimal upkeep, a Triton building is built to last 40+ years. The Galvalume substrate is corrosion-resistant, panels are roll-formed for strength, and our framing is engineered for decades of structural performance.
