Metal Carports

All-Weather Metal Carports, Custom-Built.

A metal carport is the fastest, most affordable way to protect cars, trucks, boats, RVs, and equipment from sun, hail, snow, and UV damage — without the cost of a fully enclosed garage. Triton Industries builds custom steel carports in widths from 12 ft to 60 ft and any length, in three roof styles (regular, A-frame horizontal, and fully vertical) so you get the right look and the right snow performance for your area. Each carport is engineered to local wind and snow loads, anchored for concrete, asphalt, or ground, and available in 13+ baked-on colors with options for partial walls, gable ends, and side panels. Three Roof Styles — Which One You Need

The roof style on a metal carport isn't just cosmetic — it determines how well it sheds water and snow, and how long it lasts in your climate. Triton offers all three and will recommend the right one for your zip code.

  • Regular RoofRounded corners, horizontal panels. Most affordable. Best for mild climates with little snow.
  • A-Frame Boxed EaveResidential-style peaked roof with horizontal panels. Looks like a house roof. Sheds rain well.
  • Vertical RoofPeaked roof with vertical panels and ridge cap — snow and water slide straight off. Required for heavy-snow zones and the only style we recommend for any structure 36+ ft long.

Common Carport Sizes & Uses

Carports come in standard widths of 12, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, and 30 ft, with lengths in 5-ft increments. Heights range from 6 ft (single car) up to 14 ft (RV/motorhome). The most popular Triton carport sizes:

  • 12×21 Single CarportOne car or small truck. Triton's most-ordered size — fast to install, affordable, and easy to permit.
  • 20×21 Double CarportTwo vehicles side-by-side or one vehicle plus a boat/trailer. Comfortable working space.
  • 24×26 Triple-WideThree vehicles or two vehicles with side equipment storage.
  • 18×31×12 RV CarportTall clearance for Class A motorhomes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers.

Why a Metal Carport Beats a Tarp or Wood Cover

Tarp covers tear, sag, and need replacing every year or two. Wood-framed carports rot at the posts and require constant repainting. A Triton steel carport is engineered for 20+ years of zero-maintenance service, ships pre-cut and pre-drilled for fast install, and can be permanently anchored to dirt, gravel, asphalt, or concrete.

All Triton carports include certified anchors, a 40-year panel warranty, a 20-year frame rust-through warranty, and optional sides, ends, gables, doors, and windows so you can fully enclose later if your needs change.

FAQs

Common Questions About Carports

Do I need a concrete pad?

No. Carports install on dirt, gravel, asphalt, or concrete. We use the appropriate anchor for each surface — rebar for dirt/gravel, asphalt anchors, or concrete wedge bolts.

Can I add walls later?

Yes. Every Triton carport is designed for future enclosure — you can add side panels, end panels, walk doors, roll-ups, or windows at any time.

Will it stand up to high winds?

Triton carports are engineered to your county's wind load (typically 90–140 MPH). Certified builds include stamped drawings for permitting.
